Thanks to Sue Gubbay for providing this link.  This is a really interesting and invaluable insight into a very wide range of projects going on in both UK and Europe covering the marine Natura 2000 sites and programmes. It covered MPAs, fisheries interactions, collaborative programmes, highly mobile species.

The Natura 2000 biogeographical seminar for the marine regions brings together participants from 23 Member States with marine Natura 2000 sites and involves inputs from various stakeholders. It is hosted by the French Agency for Marine Protected Areas and Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Energy. The seminar themes will cover setting conservation objectives for species and habitats, management of fisheries and other activities and regional cooperation for management and financing of marine Natura 2000 network.
