Interesting article from National Geographic on how fires in the Amazon Rainforest impact on global water cycles.

All news outlets have been covering the story of the hideous Amazon fires this week, but how does this impact the water resources in the area and beyond? According to the National Geographic, burning more and more of the rainforest could significantly change the water cycle in the Amazon and much further afield, even globally. With three significant droughts in the area in the last decade we need to be aware of what these fires could do to our delicate water resources.
