MCS: Single-use plastic waste is a blight on our environment, clogging the seas, killing wildlife and polluting the planet. The government wants to know your opinion on a throwaway plastic tax. This means that charges on single-use plastic could become a reality in this year’s budget – if the government is convinced. This would not only help to reduce waste, but encourage more environmentally friendly behaviour. We don’t want this burden to be on us, the consumers.
