We are delighted to announce that this highly anticipated event, focusing on the theme “Implementing Science-Based Solutions and Strategies for Coastal Resilience,” will be hosted by the State Key Laboratory of Satellite Ocean Environment Dynamics, Second Institute of Oceanography, Ministry of Natural Resources, in Hangzhou, China. The co-chairs for this meeting are Dr. Jianfang Chen from China and Dr. Salom Vincent from India.

With a focus on coastal resilience and management, this meeting aims to foster scientific collaboration, knowledge exchange between science and society, and the development of practical strategies and solutions. It serves as a unique platform for researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and stakeholders to collectively address the challenges faced by coastal regions worldwide.

The ECSA 60 will take place from 2-5 September 2024 and will be held at the Sheraton Grand Hangzhou Binjiang Hotel, Hangzhou. Hangzhou is the capital of Zhejiang province and its political, economic and cultural center. With enchanting natural beauty and abundant cultural heritages, the city is known as ‘Heaven on Earth’ and one of China’s most important tourist venues.
