    The Environmental Audit Committee questions academics on the environmental impact of microplastics (on May 9th watch the video).

    Scope of the inquiry The Environmental Audit Committee calls for evidence on the environmental impact of microplastics. Key issues include: the scale, sources and consequences of microplastic pollution in the ocean; strategies for dealing with the problem; and the state of our knowledge on the issue.

    The Government are looking into a ban on microbeads and have responded to a petition

    MCS & Greenpeace are actively promoting a campaign.
