A research project seeks to understand personal values of coastal and marine spaces in Plymouth Sound. Via a questionnaire, researchers hope to identify specific locations in Plymouth Sound that you and other participants feel strongly about and various reasons why.

This information will be used as part of the principal investigator’s project report, as well as by the Marine Management Organisation to inform marine planning activities in Plymouth Sound.

It is hoped that this information will be used to promote the inclusion of personal values of coastal space in marine planning decisions made by the Marine Management Organisation.

Will my taking part in this project be kept confidential?

All the information that we collect during the interview will be kept confidential. You will not be able to be identified in any reports or publications. Anonymised data will be shared with the project partner, the Marine Management Organisation.

This research was approved by University of Plymouth’s Faculty of Science and Engineering Research Ethics and Integrity Committee and this project is in compliance with the University’s policies on research ethics.
