WWT Working Wetlands Survey on Multiple Benefits

    News

WWT have launched an online survey to gather evidence about the multiple benefits that wetlands can provide as components of natural capital and green infrastructure.

We are specifically focusing on examples of:

      • Natural flood management
      • Sustainable drainage systems (SuDS)
      • Coastal managed realignment
      • Constructed treatment wetlands (or other wetlands designed to improve water quality)

Survey: www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/workingwetlands   If you know a relevant example, please enter it by 20th March.  The survey will ask you about the benefits that the wetlands provide, whether there is any evidence to demonstrate these, and about the policy enablers and barriers encountered during creation.

Updates on the survey outputs will be available here: www.wwt.org.uk/wetlandsurvey/   Your contributions will help build a valuable evidence directory to support more of this type of work in future.

You can also help by sharing this survey with your relevant contacts.

Tweet: Involved in #wetland creation or management?  Please take the @WWTworldwide survey to help create more wetlands http://bit.ly/2lgE0je

If you have further questions, please let me know.  I do hope you can contribute.

Many thanks, Dr Chloe Hardman   Working Wetlands Development Officer (Audit) chloe.hardman@wwt.org.uk
