    Paying customers to reduce water use – will it catch on?

    US Incentive Programme – $30 to every household to save at least 10% water 2016 vs 2015 

    Connecticut Water’s innovative Water Drop Challenge (WDC) has resulted in a saving of nearly 9 million gallons of water (approx. 34 million litres) in the first half of 2016! The WDC is a voluntary water conservation program that provides a financial incentive for Connecticut Water customers who enrolled in the program and meet the targeted annual reduction in water use. Customers who meet the reduction target will receive a one-time $30 credit on their water bill in 2017.
