‘Brexit: the marine governance horrendogram just got more horrendous!

    News

Sue Boyes and Professor Mike Elliott of the University of Hull’s Institute of Estuarine & Coastal Studies (IECS) have just had one of the first papers on Brexit published in a high-ranking international journal. The paper has the catchy title: ‘Brexit: the marine governance horrendogram just got more horrendous! Marine Pollution Bulletin, 2016.

    doi: http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.marpolbul.2016.08.020

The paper builds on marine environmental governance research and papers previously published by Sue and Mike and colleagues in IECS together with Professor Richard Barnes in the University’s Law School. It has already been requested by UK Government Departments and it illustrates the huge task (and hence cost) of revising the vast amount of marine environmental legislation if the UK leaves the European Union. Contact Mike or Sue if you have trouble with access to this on S.J.Boyes@hull.ac.uk / Mike.Elliott@hull.ac.uk
