Research opportunity – Environmental effects of offshore wind

The EOWDC project plan includes a budget of €3million, part funded by the EU, for research on the environmental effects of windfarm development and operation – with an emphasis on providing robust science on priority areas of uncertainty. Expressions of Interest (EoI) outlining potential projects are now being sought – see https://corporate.vattenfall.co.uk/projects/wind-energy-projects/european-offshore-wind-deployment-centre/environmental-rd/ for background information and an EoI form. Note, the timescale for EoIs (and subsequently invited full proposals) is relatively short to allow baseline work to be undertaken in advance of construction start.
Closing date for EoI is 2nd September 2016.
