EUCC have produced a position paper (EUCC – the Coastal & Marine Union and Mediterranean Centre) on behalf of the national branches, are promoting awareness of their position on Integrated Coastal Management (ICM) in the MSP & ICM Directive. They are urging coastal practitioners from across Europe to engage with national contacts and use this document to raise the attention of your MEPs and national government, plus key contacts at any relevant level that may make a difference as outlined below. They have highlighted the need for integration, the added-value and potential synergies, the basic reasons for inclusion and connectivity of ICM and MSP, the raison d’etre of this directive.
