    NIRAS and CMACS join forces

    NIRAS completed the acquisition of respected marine ecology consultancy, CMACS, on 17th June 2016.

    Dr Tim Norman, Managing Director of NIRAS Consulting Ltd, said: “I am delighted that we have joined forces with CMACS, who have a wealth of experience and expertise in marine and coastal ecology.  Our combined teams now offer a full range of marine, intertidal and coastal survey and assessment services.”

    Dr Ian Gloyne-Phillips will manage the NIRAS coastal and marine ecology team which is based in Liverpool.  Dr Terry Holt becomes Technical Director, based in the Isle of Man.

    NIRAS now employs a dedicated UK team of 35 professional marine consultants based in Cambridge, Dorking, Glasgow, the Isle of Man and Liverpool and we are experts in:

    • Marine civil and structural engineering
    • Planning and consenting
    • Environmental Impact Assessment
    • Ecology and ornithology
    • Survey and monitoring
    • Data management and GIS
