Sunday 13 March marked 100 days since Cumbria experienced the highest amount of rainfall ever recorded in a 24-hour period, with more than 341mm measured at Honister. Storms and heavy rain throughout December led to it becoming the wettest month on record, with 14 rivers across the north recording their highest ever flows.
