Benefits of CaBA for Local Government

There is an article on the benefits of the Catchment-Based Approach for local authorities in this month’s First magazine published by the Local Government Association and CaBA Communications officer Sarah Buckingham has also worked with Lewisham Borough Council to publish a guidance note for planners on how to approach development near rivers.

Sam Todd at the Environment Agency has updated a series of CaBA Funding Advice Notes; Sim Reaney of Durham University is seeking feedback on the web-based version of Scimap; Abi Mansley from Tyne Rivers Trust is seeking examples from other CaBA partnerships of Terms of Reference and Vision Statements; Martin Redding from Witham 4th IDB (and a member of the Catchment Data User Group) flagged up an Interactive Urbanisation Map from the Consumer Data Research Centre.
