Harbour Porpoise Possible Special Area of Conservation Consultation: JNCC 2016

    News

This is the latest step in a tortuous process of chasing UK Government by WWF, WDCS and TWT via Europe to protect harbour porpoises that other EU states gave years ago.

JNCC: Welcome to the harbour porpoise possible Special Area of Conservation (pSAC) consultation web pages. On these pages you will find information about the pSACs undergoing consultation, and how you can provide your views in relation to the site identification process and the socio-economic impact assessment carried out regarding the possible sites.

There are five harbour porpoise pSACs undergoing consultation, split between two agencies: the Joint Nature Conservation Committee (JNCC) and Natural Resources Wales (NRW).  These pages contain information and links to documents which describe the process of identifying these sites, and also details of how to respond to the consultation. 19 January 2016 – 19 April 2016
