I’d like to share with you a fantastic opportunity for students, studying in the UK, to win an award and cash prizes for marine projects. The Award is the National Student Awards by P1 Marine Foundation, and this year they’ve teamed up with MCS to give an award with a marine focus. The closing date is 12 December 2015. This award is given for environmental merit, originality, practicality and groundbreaking content to be judged by an expert panel including MCS’ Dr Laura Foster. Entrants should be registered as full or part time students at any level within a UK Higher Education Institution (i.e. undergraduate or postgraduate including taught courses). They can be in any year of the course and can enter as an individual or group.  International students are welcome to apply. The topic doesn’t have to be biological, marine projects under other disciplines will be considered. Projects need to be in proposal, progress or completed this year.

The P1 Marine Foundation prizes include £1000 for the winner, £500 for one runner up and the MCS Wakefield Memorial Award of £500.

To enter, candidates will need to provide the following before the deadline, 12th December 2015:
