This is an interesting and important report because it reflects on a growing momentum and new vision for addressing the growing problem of stormwater. ‘The practice of managing stormwater has evolved from carrying runoff away as fast as possible, to now handling as much of it where it falls as possible.’ It highlights a parallel development to the UK where thinking and action on SuDS has only really taken hold over the last 10 years.
