Sarah Brown ‘Assessing and measuring marine tourism and recreational activities in notoriously difficult. This marine tourism and recreation survey in Scotland being organised on behalf of Marine Scotland is a ground breaking, ambitious survey providing spatial data for the NMPi platform and the emerging marine planning partnerships. So far we have had more than 850 mapped responses across 20 activities and more than 120 business responding and we have only been going 3 weeks out of a total range of 3 months. This in contrast to the largest survey to date which gathered information from around 450 individuals across 1 month.
