This interactive course, delivered by MEDIN in collaboration with OceanWise, is ideal for anyone involved in collecting or managing marine environmental data – no prior experience required. Through live sessions, quizzes, and practical exercises, you will:
- Learn core data management principles and the data lifecycle
- Explore MEDIN’s metadata standards, guidelines, and vocabularies
- Discover how to access and archive data via the MEDIN portal and DACs
- Understand the value of data sharing, publishing, and reuse
The training is split into manageable pieces and spread over 5 days with live lessons in the morning and flexible independent learning in the afternoons. CPD recognition is available through IMarEST.
