A coalition of businesses and corporate sustainability programmes have launched the UK Net Zero Business Census. Delivered by the UK Business Climate Hub (UKBCH), this is a new nationwide research initiative focused on setting a clear standard for the private sector’s role in achieving the UK’s goal of net-zero emissions by 2050.

The UK Net Zero Business Census will establish a definitive benchmark for the private sector’s progress on net zero, helping to inspire action, inform policy-making and tackle climate change.

The exercise will then be repeated annually to track progress and guide government and industry on the support and resources that businesses need to advance.

The Census will be active until 30 June 2024 and is open to businesses of any size or industry based in the UK.
