Labour and Tories alike fear to challenge the big fishing companies that have come to believe they own Britain’s offshore waters and seabed.

    One boat alone, Dutch-owned as it happens, the Cornelis Vrolijk, controls 18% of English quota. That’s more than what is available to the entire Cornish fishing fleet combined. And it is three times as much as is controlled by all the Under Ten Metre boats in the country.’ To read more go to:
