    UK water security at risk

    NewsWater

According to a new report by the British Standards Institution (BSI), The UK has one of the developed world’s lowest levels of renewable water resources, putting the country’s water security at risk. The report assessed the water security of 40 developed nations. It judged the UK’s water security as being at ‘medium risk’, with the country named among the worst 10 countries for levels of freshwater resources.

    The recommendations include:

    1. Recognize water wastage as a serious challenge
    2. Ensure it is easy to choose water saving products
    3. Get smart when it comes to saving water
    4. Encourage a water saving culture
    5. Close the loop
    6. Collaboration is king
