    COP26 Water Climate Discussion

    The Water Climate Discussion conference starts Tuesday 5 October with a categorisation of water climate issues and potential solutions, and continues on 16 and 19 October as the sector develops & starts to fulfil the Water Climate Call to Action.

    Future Water together with organisations from across the water sector joined forces this year to bring the water professionals voice to the climate change debate. Webinars have been hosted on Adaption & Resilience, Nature Based Solutions, Energy Transition, Finance and Transport – culminating in the conference across three mornings, with the following speakers confirmed:

    • Kala Vairavamoorthy – IWA Executive Director
    • Heidi Mottram – Northumbrian Water CEO
    • Piers Clark – Isle Utilities Chairman
    • Kathryn Pharr – WaterAid Sr Policy Analyst for International Climate Action
    • Cate Lamb – UNFCCC COP26 High Level Climate Action Champions Lead – Water

    In addition to an amazing team of specialist workshop leaders & experts.

    • 5 Oct – ISSUES – Categorise & rank water climate issues & brainstorm solutions
    • 12 Oct – CALL – Draft the Water Climate Call to Action together
    • 19 Oct – ACTION – Launch the Call to Action & pledge mutual support – this session is part of the Northumbrian Water Innovation Festival
