    The UN’s #Sofia2020 report shows what works when it comes to fishing the oceans sustainably, says MSC’s Fisheries Standards Director Ernesto Jardim. Here are his top takeaways from the latest Food and Agriculture Organization’s State of World Fisheries and Aquaculture 2020: Sustainability in Action.

    • 1/3 still overfished
    • Better management key to alleviating poverty
    • No such thing as a sustainable species, only sustainable stocks
    • Seafood production all time high but consumption growing faster than ever
    • 1/3 global seafood harvest wasted
