    ‘Resilience’ is the new sustainability. It is no secret that the Cabinet office has been pressing for the use of this term in its approach to many aspects of Government. It has received plenty of air time during the winter floods. There is a fascinating discussion of the Government’s view of the relationship between resilience and sustainable development in this water Bill briefing.
