    SEAFOOD SCOTLAND – 10 TENDERS AVAILABLE AT PUBLIC CONTRACTS SCOTLAND WEBSITE

    EFF PROJECT:  Evidence Gathering in Support of Sustainable Scottish Inshore Fisheries.

    The project will pilot a series of initiatives designed to establish and support sustainable inshore fishing activities through collection and utilisation of information within the wider framework of marine planning, and to contribute to the local inshore fisheries management process.

    The principal work themes of the project are: Establishing the location of fishing activities within inshore areas; Identifying catch composition and associated fishery impacts; Defining the foot print and activities of inshore fisheries; Development of economic value and; Establishing a dedicated information resource base. These themes will be piloted through eight work packages which are being tendered concurrently.

    The management of the project as a whole is being tendered and this task will be assisted by four regional facilitators, which are also being tendered.
