Partnership on Humber Catchment rivers to improve fish populations – watch the video

    News

Good news story – The Rivers Trust have launched a new film about the Green Port Hull Fish Mitigation Project with Associated British Ports and the Environment Agency.

The projects, carried out by Aire Rivers Trust, Yorkshire Dales Rivers Trust and Don Catchment Rivers Trust have helped salmon and other migratory fish reach new spawning grounds for the first time in over 100 years. The Rivers Trust worked with the Environment Agency and Associated British Ports (ABP) to implement this £180,000 project to improve fish migration from the Humber estuary.

To see exactly how this multi-agency approach benefitted local wildlife, you can watch the newly launched video below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T67obuJ2674&feature=youtu.be
