‘I clicked on the whale shark shot in this week’s CMS news & was really disappointed it was a photo from Oslob in the Philippines. The sharks are baited there, which explains why there are so many around the one boat.  WWF Philippines has been campaigning for years against the practices at Oslob – the feeding, which leads to sharks head butting boats to beg and practices when the public pay to swim with them. Please see the statement published here, ideally other locations are better to promote like Donsol in the Philippines or Exmouth in Australia as they have more effective education on interactions.’
