NEF The New Economics Foundation – have been working with the fishing community of Eastbourne for the past two years: Now the fishermen have been successful in applying for the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF) and have been offered a £1million grant to build phase 1 of the Fishermen’s Quay. This will include ice production, chiller units a fisher smoker as well as a retail outlet for a seafood processing unit in Sovereign harbour.
