    Annwyl Gyfaill

Ymgynghoriad ar Gynllun Morol Cenedlaethol Cymru

Mae Llywodraeth Cymru yn awyddus i glywed eich barn am fersiwn ddrafft o’n cynllun morol cyntaf sy’n cael ei chyhoeddi at ddibenion ymgynghori. Mae’r cynllun yn esbonio sut y byddwn yn mynd ati i reoli’r gwaith o ddatblygu’n moroedd mewn ffordd gynaliadwy, gan gefnogi “twf glas” ar draws nifer ddiwydiannau, gan warchod ein bywyd gwyllt, ein cynefinoedd a’n hadnoddau naturiol ar yr un pryd. Mae’n amlinellu polisïau ar gyfer defnyddio’n moroedd yn y dyfodol a bydd angen i ddatblygwyr ystyried y polisïau hynny wrth iddyn nhw gyflwyno cynigion newydd. Bydd angen iddyn nhw gael eu cadw mewn cof hefyd gan bobl sy’n gwneud penderfyniadau yn yr awdurdodau lleol, e.e. wrth benderfynu ar drwyddedau morol.

Dyma’ch cyfle i ddweud eich dweud am ein cynigion a’n helpu i sicrhau bod ein  hadnoddau morol yn dod â’r budd mwyaf posibl i’r genhedlaeth hon ac i’r genhedlaeth nesaf.

    Dear Stakeholder

Consultation on the Welsh National Marine Plan

Welsh Government are seeking views on a consultation draft of our first marine plan.  This plan explains how we will manage the sustainable development of our seas, supporting “Blue growth” across multiple industries while protecting our wildlife, habitats and natural resources. It sets out policies for future use of our seas which will need to be taken account of by developers in bringing forward new proposals and by public authority decision makers eg in determining marine licences.

Now is the time to have your say on our proposals and help us make the most of the benefits provided by our marine resources both now and for future generations.
The consultation and details of how to respond can be found here:

    https://consultations.gov.wales/consultations/draft-welsh-national-marine-plan

We will be holding a series of public events across Wales where stakeholders can meet members of the team, ask questions and discuss how marine planning may affect them:

    Swansea                    14:00 – 20:00            10th January
    Saundersfoot            14:00 – 20:00             11th January
    Bangor                       14:00 – 20:00             24th January
    Aberystwyth              14:00 – 20:00             25th January
    Flint                             14:00 – 20:00             26th January
    Cardiff                        14:00 – 20:00             30th January

A further conference will be held on the 20th February 2018 in Cardiff.

Please help us allocate resources wisely by reserving your place at your local event or the conference via the Eventbrite link below:

    https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/o/pembrokeshire-coastal-forum-7298205311

The draft WNMP is supported by a developing evidence base, spatial aspects of which are presented in an on-line GIS portal:
    http://lle.gov.wales/apps/marineportal/

The consultation closes on 29/03/17.  For more information please contact: marineplanning@gov.wales

Please forward this message to your stakeholder contacts and encourage them to engage in marine planning for Wales.

    Yours sincerely,

    The Marine Planning Team
    Welsh Government
