Ocean acidification – update – House of Commons Science & Technology

    News

    Thanks to Phil Williamson

The new HoC Science & Technology Committee met and they agreed to publish a Defra response (of 18 July) to issues raised re the OA inquiry: http://www.parliament.uk/documents/commons-committees/science-technology/Correspondence/170718-Coffey-to-Lamb-Ocean-acidification.pdf.  That was in response to the Committee’s letter to Defra of 26 April: http://www.parliament.uk/documents/commons-committees/science-technology/Correspondence/Letter-toTh%c3%a9r%c3%a8se-Coffey-MP-ocean-acidification-26-04-17.pdf.   It is up to the new Committee to decided whether the Defra/government response meets their concerns, and whether it will carry out any further work on this topic (e.g. preparing a full report).
