£100K funding opportunity from Rewilding Britain
Are you working on a seascape-scale nature restoration initiative which could benefit from £100,000 through the Rewilding Challenge Fund? Rewilding Britain are looking for the next ambitious project to award their annual funding to, that will let nature lead, help people prosper and demonstrate to others across Britain just what’s possible when you think big.
The funding has already helped projects like Sussex Bay build the foundations for a seascape-scale vision and the Community of Arran Seabed Trust embed community-led marine stewardship on the island.
If you’re creating a shared vision for a seascape or an approach that integrates both sea and land, they’d like to hear from you. Complete an expression of interest via their website by 9 October.
The fund aims to help recipients deliver on five key areas:
- Work at nature’s scale – think bigger, more ecologically connected
- Let nature lead through natural processes to build resilience to climate impacts
- Create resilient local economies through nature-based enterprises
- Support people and nature together by bringing community voices to the fore
- Secure long-term benefits by creating blueprints that inspire others and build knowledge
