The UK is committed to reaching net zero greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) by 2050 across their economy including in the domestic maritime sector, which is the largest contributor to the UK’s domestic GHG emissions.  This series of seminars considers the repercussions of the drive to net zero on the dredging industry and explores what is being done by the industry to help achieve decarbonisation.

This half-day event includes presentations on how the EU master plan to reduce GHG emissions impacts the dredging industry, the approach of a leading producer of dredging vessels, equipment, and services on future-proofing dredging vessels and a presentation on the inland waterways perspective on the drive to net zero.
