One Month to Go
We are delighted to be hosting the conference in the new state of the art conference centre at the Clayton Hotel, Cardiff Lane in Dublin centre.
We have put together a wide-ranging programme of speakers from across Ireland, the UK and further afield. Talks cover both freshwater and marine research and species from sea bass to smelt and lamprey to shark. We will also have posters on display over the two days as well as a trade area with a range of companies in attendance.
Conference sessions will cover:
- Project planning (double session)
- Using fish behaviour to inform management
- Fish behaviour at barriers
- Monitoring fish in difficult environments
The conference programme can be viewed here
The Peter Spillett Lecture
In memory of our past President, Peter Spillett, who sadly passed away earlier this year the opening keynote presentation at our specialist conference will now be known as the Peter Spillett Lecture.
We are very pleased to welcome Professor Ian Cowx of the Hull International Fisheries Institute to present the inaugural lecture with a talk titled “Challenges of tagging and tracking fish in large tropical rivers: Thinking big to answer big questions”
Day 3 – 12th May
On the third day we will be hosting a workshop by Oregon RFID on Principles of PIT Tag Monitoring. The workshop is free and is open to all. Full details on the website
