Permanent, full-time (37 hpw)

Band 8, Spinal Column Points 31-35, salary: £34,728 – £38,890 per annum

 

 

Coastal Partnership East is a dynamic team with an innovative approach to managing the coast between Kelling in North Norfolk and Landguard Point in Felixstowe Suffolk. The partnership is a shared coastal management team which brings together the coastal management resources and expertise from Great Yarmouth Borough Council, North Norfolk District Council and East Suffolk Council.

Working across the Coastal Partnership East (CPE) area, primarily Great Yarmouth Borough Council and North Norfolk District Council, you will provide technical support to the team for the provision of an effective and efficient Coastal Management service.

This position will play a key role in developing and delivering coastal projects across Great Yarmouth and North Norfolk and will have impact on how the coast, its communities and the environment evolves in the short and long term.

In this role you will provide specialist coastal advice, guidance and support to senior managers, colleagues, councilors, internal and external partners and members of the public, in order to effectively underpin coastal risk-based decision making and support community and environmental outcomes.  You will be responsible, with colleagues for engaging with coastal communities, key stakeholders and partners to develop effective and deliverable coastal management approaches.   To achieve these goals and deliver the policies in the Shoreline Management Plan you will need to utilize a broad range of skills and be open to embracing and developing innovative approaches.
