Sea Fisheries Enforcement Manager

£35,537 – £41,507 per annum + 13% out of hours allowance
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to head up the Isle of Man’s sea fisheries enforcement team. We are looking for someone with enforcement experience who has great leadership and management abilities.
The Fisheries Directorate is responsible for the management and protection of fisheries and their supporting ecosystems within the Isle of Man and the territorial sea. Working with stakeholders, we aim to develop innovative and dynamic fisheries management measures that seek to balance the economic, environmental and social needs of the Isle of Man.
You will lead a team of officers in the effective enforcement of sea fisheries legislation within the Isle of Man territorial sea and ashore and be responsible for the planning and directing of patrols and inspections at sea using the Department’s fisheries patrol vessel. For this role, you will need to have previous experience in an enforcement role and proven experience of managing a team. We are looking for someone with great communication and interpersonal skills, who is able to build positive working relationships
