Day 1 – Introduction to Flood Modelling Thursday 18th February 2016, £295 (£236*/£206.50**) (VAT exempt)   Participants will learn about: 

  • Theoretical principles of modelling
  • Basic flood modelling
  • How to use Flood Modeller (formerly ISIS Flood Model) software
  • How to apply modelling techniques to flood risk evaluation
  • Principles of 1d and 2d modelling
  • Evaluation of TUFLOW output

Day 2 – Model Calibration, Validation & Evaluation Friday 19th February 2016, £295 (£236*/£206.50**) (VAT exempt)   Participants will learn about: 

  • Building scenarios using Flood Modeller (formerly ISIS Flood Model) software
  • Error checking of Flood Modeller: changing hydraulic parameters, prevention of channel dryness, conveyance problems.
  • Model calibration techniques
  • Evaluating Model Performance
