Scotland’s First Minister Nichola Sturgeon has appointed a new Environment Secretary following the announcement that Richard Lochhead has stepped down from the role. The SNP MSP for Perthshire South and Kinross-shire, Roseanna Cunningham, will take over the front bench role within the Scottish Parliament from today (18 May), the Scottish Government has announced, having previously served as a Minister for the Environment from 2009 to 2011.
