EFRA Committee: Neil Parrish(Con) is the new chairman and he has set out his views. Parish served as a committee member during the last parliament, and describes himself as a ‘strong voice for British farming’. He has also served on the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Beef & Lamb, the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Eggs, Pig and Poultry as well as the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Dairy.

Environmental Audit Committee: Huw Irranca-Davies (Lab) is the new chairman and is an experienced hand at environmental issues.

Energy and Climate Change Committee: Chair Angus Brendan MacNeil (SNP) – this will be interesting since the SNP take a rather different view on energy matters including onshore wind and the lead up to Paris is likely to prove interesting.
